To Create Is to Live

I started dabbling in acrylic pouring when I needed something more to do while coming out of a flare-up of fibromyalgia.

I've always been creative in my own way, but I didn't realize just how much joy creating would bring me—or how much joy it could bring to others.

When I discovered acrylic pour painting, something came alive in me. I loved watching the colours move, the patterns unfold, and seeing what would happen when I simply let the paint flow. I began sharing my creations on YouTube, and it meant so much to me knowing that others enjoyed watching me create.

That got me thinking...

What if I could take my artwork beyond the canvas and share it in another way?

I found a studio in Montreal, Canada, that transforms original artwork into patterns used to create clothing and accessories. And that's where the idea for Kathleen's Wearable Art began.

I personally curate each garment and apply my original artwork to create pieces that are as wearable as they are meaningful. And if you fall in love with a particular design, you can also request it on a different piece — just reach out and we'll make it happen.

For me, this is a way to share the joy of my creations with others—to hopefully bring a smile to someone's face and help people feel comfortable, confident, and good in what they wear.

The Canadian fulfillment partner I work with is also environmentally conscious. They treat their staff well and are careful not to waste products, which is important to me. I want the things I create and sell to reflect values that I believe in.

There's so much more I want to tell you, and I will share those stories with you through my blogs and behind-the-scenes posts.
